Janardan Brown Dipper House The Tirthan Valley is located the Kulu District of Himachal Pradesh on the opposite end of the Valley from the more popular Manali area. It is the gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park which is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site.
The closest Airport is in Bhuntar is around 50 kms from her. The closest main Airport and Railway Station is in Chandigarh which is around a 7 Hour Drive from Tirthan. We can arrange pick up for you from Chandigarh or New Delhi.
A Work From Mountains locations right on the banks of the Tirthan River located at the Gateway to the Great Himalayan Park which is a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site. And what makes it fun is that access to the location is via a Trolley on a Pulley which is the quickest way to get to the location though you can Walk as well if you chose so.
The Brown Dipper House is situated in Tirthan valley right in front of the Tirthan River, with easy access to the Riverfront. In total we have 5 rooms with attached washrooms. The sound of the flowing River is ever present and the location great views of the River and the Mountains surrounding the Valley. Its named after the Bird, the Brown Dipper which is found in the area and can be seen diving into the Water to catch insects.
There is a delightful sit-out area outside the Cottage where you can sit and watch the Mountains and the River go by. It also the ideal place to enjoy the Sun. You can even walk down to the River and get your feet wet. And many Bird species can be found around the River which makes it a great area for Birding as well.
Brown Dipper House lies in the Eco Zone of the Great Himalayan National Park and offers many Adventure activities around. You can go Hiking or Trekking in the Great Himalayan National Park which is one of best preserved Himalayan Wildernesses. Tirthan Valley is known for its rich Birdlife and its a virtual Paradise for Bird Watchers with more than 150 species of Birds. You can also go Angling in the Tirthan River which is known for its Trout. Tirthan Valley in short is a paradise for all kind of Nature and Adventure lovers away from the crowds. And nothing really unwinds you like the Mountains
